CVT Registered Manager Post

The Camphill Village Trust (CVT) is an established, well respected and progressive UK charity supporting adults with learning disabilities, mental ill health and other support needs in their home life, work, social and cultural activities, through our nine urban and rural communities in England. The Camphill philosophy recognises the uniqueness of the individual and we seek to respect, value and enhance the strengths and potential of each person we support in a contemporary context.
 
For our exciting new initiative,  CVT is looking to recruit a Registered Manager who is passionate about Shared Lives and displays real insight into the benefits it can bring to people who wish to live within a community setting. You will be involved in the development of an embryonic scheme around the Stourbridge Community and surrounding areas of Dudley, where you will have opportunity to influence its design and working practices. You should have a sound understanding of the Shared Lives model and knowledge of the local area and its amenities. 
 
This is a new position, so there is some flexibility around your working routine, ideally your base will be at our offices at Stourbridge, alongside the potential for working from home. Shared Lives role - Leeds

This exciting opportunity is for an innovative manager whom will lead the team and together shape the shared lives service.

To work in collaboration with partners to maintain regional and national Shared Lives networks. Sharing best practice to achieve successful outcomes for both customers and carers, which meets the requirements of this growing service.

The successful applicant will have the knowledge of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2010 to ensure that the service remains compliant.

The Successful candidate must demonstrate skills, knowledge and experience in the following key areas.

  • Sound insight into Care Quality Commission requirements and how to implement these

  • Ability to develop, lead and motivate the shared lives team and offer appropriate professional supervision, giving clear and specific guidance on performance based on the competency framework

  • Ability to empower self and others including carers and service users, ensuring high ethical standard

  • Of Adult Social Care’s practice and responsibilities regarding the assessment and meeting of need of service users.

  • Ability to ensure that there are good working relationships between area social work staff and Shared Lives staff and carers.

  • The post requires that the post holder has the CQSW/DipSW or equivalent qualification or Diploma in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification. You should be registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) upon commencement of the post and maintain this registration.

Hertfordshire County Council Shared Lives Pre-Procurement Market Engagement (PPME.

The Hertfordshire Transforming Care Partnership is interested in developing a bespoke Hertfordshire Shared Lives Transforming Care (TC) pilot scheme (Services) to support people with Learning Disabilities who are currently part of the TC programme.

The PPME process involves the Submission of the Provider Questionnaire available on the Supply Hertfordshire website above.

We would encourage providers to complete and submit the Provider Questionnaire, as responses will be used to help shape the Council’s requirements and outcomes and also the scope and strategy for any potential procurement. The Council is looking to pilot a bespoke service and provider input will be invaluable to ensure that the Council’s proposals are viable and offer a good commercial opportunity to the market.

 Shared Lives

Shared Lives is coming to Thurrock and ategi – an experienced provider of Shared Lives – is looking to build a dynamic team in the area. If you are passionate about delivering quality person-centred care and support and can bring that energy to building relationships, working with people who need support, their families, and Thurrock Council to set up and be part of a leading Shared Lives service we’d like to hear from you.

Shared Lives is a form of care where vulnerable adults are carefully matched with and supported within the ordinary households of approved Shared Lives Carers and their families. ategi’s Shared Lives team will be based in Thurrock and will recruit, assess, train and support individuals, couples or families to become Approved Shared Lives Carers across the county.

Applicants will become part of ategi’s network of Shared Lives schemes benefitting from expert support and peer learning as well as the opportunity to be part of an exciting new service in Thurrock. We are looking for positive, self-motivated and dynamic people with excellent communication skills, effective time management and a willingness to work across Thurrock to change people’s lives for the better.

Shared Lives manager - Ategi South Gloucs

ategi Shared Lives has been selected to manage and develop the previously council run Shared Lives Scheme in South Gloucestershire. The scheme provides accommodation and support to vulnerable adults who are supported within the ordinary households of approved Shared Lives Carers and their families. The team recruit, assess, train and support individuals, couples or families to become Approved Shared Lives Carers across South Gloucestershire.

We now need to strengthen the existing small team to manage current Shared Lives Carers while finding new Carers to offer the chance for more people to live within an ordinary family setting.

Applicants will need to demonstrate that they are positive, self-motivated, have excellent communication skills, effective time management and are prepared to work across South Gloucestershire.

Shared Lives Manager (full time, 39 hours per week)

Salary:    £32,640 pro rata        

 

Hours:      22.5 per week, fixed term contract until 31st March 2019  

 

Location: Based in the North East working closely with South Tees CCG, Middlesborough Council, Redcar and Cleveland Council and Avalon Shared Lives scheme to establish a new base in the region and support the expansion of Shared Lives services across the North East of England.

Shared Lives Plus is the UK network for Shared Lives and Home Share. Our members work on a small scale or in their own family homes, helping older and disabled people to live good lives in a place they feel they belong.

We are seeking an exceptional individual to support the development and ensure the success of our largest funded program to date. Scaling up Shared Lives in Healthcare is a £1.75million NHS England funded program to develop the successful Shared Lives model to support people with healthcare needs in the community.

This is a challenging and exciting role and to succeed you need to have experience of delivering services in the health and/or social care sector and have a good understanding of the current health and social care transformation agendas. You will be energetic, resourceful, resilient and able to work on your own initiative whilst working to a defined development plan. You will have experience of building and developing great teams and be a team player yourself. Most importantly, you will have the enthusiasm and commitment to develop the Shared Lives model for the benefit of people with health needs in the community you will be working in.
