This is an advertisement for a position within Bromley Shared Lives for a part time (24 - 30 hrs) Placement Officer.
Shared Lives identifies carers who can provide support within their own homes to people who may have learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health needs and older people. The support can be overnight, respite, during the day or on a long term basis.
The team works in partnership with care managers and Health professionals to identify people who would benefit from this type of service and to assist care managers in supporting their service users to move into a Shared Lives placement.
Under the supervision of the Placement Coordinator you will lead with creativity and innovation to recruitment new carers to the scheme.
Your duties will be to lead on the recruiting of new applicants to the scheme, being creative and innovative in the way we recruit Shared Lives carers in order to grow the scheme.
Your other duties will include the monitoring of placements (carers), dealing with carer and service user issues & liaising with care management and other stakeholders to ensure the needs of the service user are being met. You will be supporting the Shared Lives manager to ensure standards are being met in each of the placements you are responsible for and reporting concerns appropriately. You will be involved in organising carer forums, attending team meetings and will attend and present to the approval panel as required.
We will be based at Bromley Civic Centre. We are therefore looking for a skilled, enthusiastic and hardworking person to support the team on a part time basis.
You will hold at least a NVQ/QCF level 3 in Health and social care, should have use of a car for work purposes and be able to be flexible within this role.
