Are you wondering what it means to be a member of Shared Lives Plus and what the membership team can do for you?
Maybe you’re a new Shared Lives Plus carer, or you become a Shared Lives carer during lockdown?
Even if you’ve been in your caring role for a few years, but would like a little refresher, you’re always welcome at a new carer induction session.
Shared Lives Plus is the national membership organisation for people who work in Shared Lives. We don’t deliver Shared Lives (we’re not your scheme), but we support the Shared Lives carers, and Shared Lives schemes that do.
We’re part of the broader network of support which makes Shared Lives such a unique and special form of social care.
These sessions will cover:
New carer induction sessions take place online, via Zoom. Regular sessions are held every other week on Monday morning, or Wednesday lunchtime.
There are usually between 6 and 10 carers on each session, which makes them a great opportunity for you to meet other Shared Lives carers from other parts of the country and other Shared Lives schemes.
While the new carer induction sessions are designed for new, or recently registered, Shared Lives carers, all carer members are welcome to come along.
Fill in the form on this page, indicating which session you would like to attend. If none of the dates are convenient you can let us know what sort of times are convenient for you. We will be adding more sessions when we can.
