We are supporting Global Intergenerational Week, which will take place from 24th to 30th April. This annual worldwide campaign encourages everyone to embrace intergenerational relationships and practice.
The Beth Johnson Foundation defines intergenerational practice as ‘bringing people together in purposeful, mutually beneficial activities which promote greater understanding and respect between different generations and contributes to building more cohesive communities.’
During the week, the power of intergenerational relationships will be celebrated through seven daily themes:
You can get involved in Global Intergenerational Week 2025 and take part in the 2025 campaign, by registering as a supporter.
Throughout the week, we’ll share stories and case studies about Homeshare and Shared Lives households where people from different generations live together or receive support in a family home. If you have a story or idea to share, we’d love to hear from you. Please email press@sharedlivesplus.org.uk
