Shared Lives Week (15th – 21st June 2026) is our annual flagship campaign to celebrate the best of Shared Lives and show our gratitude for Shared Lives carers and people supported.
Get involved:
On Thursday 18th June 2-3pm we’re hosting a free zoom webinar to ‘Shout about Shared Lives’, raising awareness and inviting as many people as possible to come learn about Shared Lives.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
Share this link with as many people as possible so they can come learn about Shared Lives. It could be your own friends/family or social workers/adult social care contacts.

The webinar will be hosted by Dr Krish Kandiah OBE, a social entrepreneur, CEO, broadcaster, foster carer and Shared Lives carer!
Hear from panellists with lived experience of Shared Lives, Shared Lives carers, and family members about their experiences and how if more people knew about it, more lives would change.
Invite as many people as possible to join and learn more about Shared Lives.
This year’s focus is Shout about Shared Lives – care worth talking about
We want to raise awareness of Shared Lives with the public, the media, local decision makers in adult social care and local MPs, MS, MSP and MLA’s to smash the myths about what it’s like to work in, or draw on social care – so more people can see themselves in a Shared Lives role or match.
We are encouraging everyone involved in (or supporters of) Shared Lives to tell one new person (at least!) about Shared Lives during Shared Lives Week/in the lead-up. Examples:
You can ‘tell one person’ (or more!) by using the following resources:
There are 10 social media graphic templates, with a variety of focuses:
The graphics can be accessed and downloaded from canva (it’s free to sign up and use!) – you can find them on this link, or save them from below.

There are so many ways to get involved with Shared Lives Week – here’s a few suggestions.
If you would like to take part in our campaign this year, please get in touch and tell us your story.
Shared Lives Plus members will find more information about how they can get involved in Shared Lives Week on their Members Dashboard page.
