Covid testing in Shared Lives

For the latter two settings, the organisations must meet at at least one of the following criteria:

• “the setting is a closed community with substantial facilities shared between multiple people
• “it is a setting where the majority of residents (more than 50%) receive the kind of personal care that is CQC-regulated (rather than help with cooking, cleaning and shopping)”

This means that Shared Lives carers and scheme members must order LFDs privately, as with other members of the general public unless you have a health condition which means you are eligible for Covid-19 treatment. In such cases, you can order tests through your local pharmacy.
