Neighbourhood health is increasingly central to the Government’s Health Mission.
Secretary of State for Health and Care, Wes Streeting, has called on Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) to develop new neighbourhood health services aimed at keeping patients healthy and out of hospital, with care provided closer to, and in, the home.
This online event, chaired by Ewan King, Chief Executive of Shared Lives Plus, will explore how to turn this vision into action through collective action.
Tom Riordan, Second Permanent Secretary at the Department of Health and Social Care, will outline the Government’s strategy for Neighbourhood Health Services.
Early adopters will share their insights on how they’ve successfully developed neighbourhood services, and Robin Miller from IMPACT will highlight supported neighbourhood approaches across the UK, including in Leeds.
Providers will also share their experiences of integrated working, discussing both the benefits and the challenges.
The session will help participants gain a deeper understanding of the Government’s ambitions behind this approach and offer practical guidance on how providers can maximise their involvement in their local communities.
The event will be recorded, and the Q&A session will be used to create a helpful FAQ page.
This event is ideal for leaders involved in decision-making related to ICS workforce issues, including representatives from ICBs, ICPs, local authorities, and adult social care providers.
