Vacancy – Social Work Training Associates – competitive day rates
We are looking for skilled trainers to join our team on an associate basis to provide training to social workers on Shared Lives care, to meet the needs of local authorities who are investing in their local schemes.
We will offer competitive associate day rates. Ideally we are looking to work with qualified social workers who have experience of working in adult social care, learning disabilities or mental health services.
This work has come about because earlier this year, the Department of Health and Social Care launched the Accelerating Reform Fund, a major investment in innovations in adult social care, and we are aware that over half the areas receiving the fund will use some of it to invest in the growth of their local Shared Lives scheme. Shared Lives is a high quality, innovative and person-centred form of care and support, which the Government also wants to see expand through this fund.
Shared Lives Plus, the national membership charity which supports the Shared Living sector, is hoping to support a number of local areas to develop Shared Lives. One of our key offers of support is training social care staff in Shared Lives, for example on making good referrals, MCA, safeguarding and strengths based practice, so that Shared Lives flourishes.
