We’re thrilled to announce a donation of £350 from specialist family law firm Stowe Family Law. This donation supports our work in Liverpool and beyond, helping us make a real difference in the community.
Matthew Taylor, the Team Leader Partner at Stowe Family Law’s Liverpool office, shared why they have decided to make this donation:
“It is a privilege to be able to support the incredible work that Shared Lives Plus carries out throughout the Liverpool region and beyond. At Stowe Family Law we strive to engage with our communities and work with charities that help local families get the support that they need. There is no better example of this than Shared Lives Plus so we are thrilled to be able to help out.”
It’s great to see a respected local firm like Stowe Family Law engage so meaningfully with our work.
Like many other charities, much of our income is tied to specific projects, or areas of operation. This targeted approach means funders can see their money put to work in the areas that are most important to them, and we are extremely grateful to all our project funders. We couldn’t do the work we do to grow Shared Lives and Homeshare without them.
However, this also means that we have to find additional funding to cover many of our day-to-day operational costs. ‘Invisible’ expenses like staffing and maintenance – or the time and capacity needed to make sure we can respond to immediate or unforeseen situations. General donations, like this one from Stowe Family Law are vital to increase our ability to respond effectively to changing needs.
Shared Lives Plus CEO Ewan King commented on the donation:
“This generous contribution from Stowe Family Law will allow us to extend our reach and provide support to more community members. This donation not only supports our current projects and day-to-day activities, but also reminds us of the strong community spirit in Liverpool, where we are based. We’re grateful for such solidarity, which is crucial for our ongoing success.”
