Moray Shared Lives scheme and their Shared Lives carers have been bringing joy to Scotland by taking Paddington Bear (their new mascot) out on exciting adventures. This fun experience also encourages relationship building for Shared Lives households and added some positivity at the start of the year when we were still experiencing wet and dark days.
Bear’s travels were the first idea from the new Moray Shared Lives Ambassadors, Phillipa and Alison, to support Moray Shared Lives, and they’ve been delighted to hear where Bear has been! They loved the growing items of clothing he has picked up along the way… he even has a pair of glittery skies which helped him get about during the Winter months.
Diane McLeary, the Shared Lives officer at Moray said, “In their roles as Ambassadors Phillipa and Alison are both keen to help grow Shared Lives in our area, it has been nice setting up their idea of Bear’s travels and to see their confidence grow through the role already. It has also been so fun for people supported by Shared Lives and our Shared Lives carers.”
So far, Bear has visited Duffus Castle, Hopeman beach, Elgin – Suninghill Hotel, Decora Garden Centre, Elgin Post Office, Lossiemouth beach and Forres – Mackenzie & Cruickshanks.
We look forward to hearing where Bear visits next!
