Just last week the World Health Organisation showcased the South East Wales Shared Lives Mental Health Crisis Project at their global launch of the WHO Guidance on community mental health services: ‘Promoting person-centred and rights-based approaches’.
The South East Wales Shared Lives Scheme, working in partnership with Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, has developed the Shared Lives for Mental Health Crisis Project: piloting the use of Shared Lives as an alternative to admission or to facilitate early discharge from in-patient psychiatric care.
Join us to hear directly from the people who organise, deliver and use these innovative services. Hear how to scope and develop Shared Lives and other innovative services in challenging financial circumstances, and to discuss what the mental health sector can learn from asset-based approaches which combine regulated care with community and relationship building.
We look forward to talking to you about the WHO’s ground-breaking report on rights-based mental health support.
