Sports lovers, amateur runners and disabled athletes can now buy inclusive fashion and donate to Shared Lives Plus while they do it!
For the month of July only, Busy Life, a company that uses fashion led sports and leisure wear to promote diversity, is donating some of its profits from every purchase to help UK charity Shared Lives Plus to support more people to do shared living.
Backed by Hannah Cockcroft MBE (pictured), Taz Anwar, Hajibi runner, and Kim Crosby, Olympic medallist, Busy Life was set up by entrepreneur, Dr Joanna Baker-Rogers.
Founder of Busy Life, Dr Joanna Baker-Rogers says, “Not all sports men, women and children are super fit, super slim, under 25, and able-bodied. I wanted to create sports products that encourage confidence to take part in sport whatever size, shape, age, or ability people are.
“I’ve always had a passion for challenging social oppression, creating kinder communities and making the world a better place so I’m delighted that Busy Life is supporting Shared Lives Plus this month. Every purchase will make a donation to support your life-changing work which is needed now more than ever.”
Shared Lives Plus is a UK charity which supports over 10,000 Shared Lives carers and 14,000 people who visit or live with them for support with a learning or physical disability, mental ill health, dementia or domestic abuse.
Gillian Edwards, Senior Fundraising Lead at Shared Lives Plus says: “Many people in Shared Lives have discovered the power of sports in helping us live a full and active life, improve health and wellbeing, make new friends and discover new hobbies. We are delighted to welcome Busy Life into our community of supporters. Their product donations will enable us to support more Shared Lives schemes, carers and Homeshare organisations. We are very grateful to Joanna and her team for their much-appreciated support to raise much needed funds for and awareness of Shared Lives carers. These are challenging times for everyone, yet everyone who is sharing their homes and lives is also working towards a stronger, kinder society.”
