Shared Lives Week 13-17 June 2022 is our annual flagship campaign to celebrate everyone living in and supporting Shared Lives care and show our gratitude for the amazing work of our Shared Lives carers.
The theme this year is ‘change and growth’. We want to celebrate the incredible lives that people enjoy when they visit or live with Shared Lives carers and their friends and families. This year we are supporting over 150 local Shared Lives schemes to recruit short-term carers who can support existing Shared Lives carers so everyone can have the breaks they are entitled to.
Find out more and support us online using #SharedLivesWeek2022, or show us your support with a donation towards our carer helpline.
Shared Lives Plus members can find more information about how they can get involved in Shared Lives Week on their Members Dashboard page.
We’re looking forward to being outside with friends and family again, and what better way to enjoy the sunshine (fingers crossed) than with a picnic! We hope as many of you as possible can take part in The Big Share in the open air. You might decide to keep it small and simple with a backyard bubble, or organize a green-space get together with friends and neighbours. All we ask is that you stick to whatever restrictions are in place at the time, stay safe, and only do whatever you feel comfortable with.
Take videos of clinking your glasses and send them in – we’re going to make a celebratory video of Shared Lives week 2022!
It’s been a heck of a year hasn’t it?
For Shared Lives Week, we’re putting together a photography exhibition capturing what life has been like for Shared Lives Families over the past 12 months or so. You can see the photos, and vote for your favourites, over on our Facebook page.
