Surrey Choices has an exciting opportunity for an innovative and dynamic individual to lead our CQC registered Shared Lives Service which provides individuals being supported the opportunity to change their lives and strive towards independence.

Based at Guildford, Surrey
Full time: 37.5 hours per week

Salary £30,000 - £36,000 (Subject to Qualifications and Experience)

Shared Lives

Shared Lives is a support model used nationally that enables people to live the life they want. The Shared Lives team are responsible for assessing, recruiting and training people to become Shared Lives Carers. The people they support will live or stay as part of the Shared Lives Carers’ family and have been carefully matched by our experienced team at Surrey Choices. CQC regulate the scheme but we are responsible for setting up, overseeing the arrangements, supporting Carers and meeting with the people being supported. The Surrey Choices Shared Lives scheme covers the County of Surrey as well as the borders and offers an innovative, personalised and community based service. The scheme predominantly supports people with learning disabilities, mental health needs, physical disabilities, and older people but has supported people on the pathway to dementia and those in need of step-down support following discharge from hospital.

Role Summary
The Shared Lives Manager will be responsible for leading the staff team to ensure that the scheme delivers safe and person-centered care and support for vulnerable adults. The post holder is accountable for recording and reporting data at both a strategic level to Senior Managers within Surrey Choices and also providing information to CQC as required. The Shared Lives Manager must devise and implement strategies to enable business growth and development in response to customer and commissioner need and market demand.
