Shared Lives is coming to Thurrock and ategi – an experienced provider of Shared Lives – is looking to build a dynamic team in the area. Shared Lives is a form of care where vulnerable adults are carefully matched with and supported within the ordinary households of approved Shared Lives Carers and their families. ategi’s Shared Lives team will be based in Thurrock and will recruit, assess, train and support individuals, couples or families to become Approved Shared Lives Carers across the county.
Applicants will become part of ategi’s network of Shared Lives schemes benefitting from expert support and peer learning as well as the opportunity to be part of an exciting new service in Thurrock. We are looking for positive, self-motivated and dynamic people with excellent communication skills, effective time management and a willingness to work across Thurrock to change people’s lives for the better.
Shared Lives Manager (full time, 39 hours per week) £28,849 - £34,303 per annum Applicants will need: • Energy, enthusiasm and drive to set up the first Shared Lives scheme in Thurrock • Ideally, experience of working as a Registered Manager in the care sector • A track record of successful project management • Clear understanding of and enthusiasm for Shared Lives • Marketing and promotional skills (plus a bit of creative flair) to ensure understanding of Shared Lives across Thurrock • Proven management experience in the care sector and ability to manage staff • Excellent communication skills • Motivational and strong relationship building skills • Ability to promote equality and diversity • Understanding of regulations for the provision of Shared Lives • Assessment and report writing skills
Shared Lives Coordinator (full time, 39 hours per week) £24,171 - £27,467 per annum Applicants will need: • Experience of and motivation for working with people who need support to live a good life • Excellent communication and relationship building skills • An understanding of the support needs of vulnerable adults • Good assessment and observation skills • Experience of managing a case load and other staff • Experience of working in a multi-agency environment
Shared Lives Administrator (full time, 39 hours per week) £16,485 - £18,546 per annum Applicants will need: • Experience of working as an office Administrator • Good IT skills • Experience of processing invoices • The ability to multi-task • Excellent communication skills, along with the ability to relate well to people • Self-motivation and initiative
